Yay. Today I finished logging the first scratch disk of Pedal's footage, which is 1,700+ individual video clips. I'm moving on now to the 2nd (and last) scratch disk, which has about 250 clips on it.

This was Savina's first trip to Lake Michigan at Berger Park on Chicago's far north side in the Edgewater neighborhood.
At the end of the clip is a memorial to our previous dog Hilde, who while playing in my mother's yard in Indy a few weeks ago, ran out into the street and got run over.
We didn't get Savina to "replace" her, but because we've always preferred to have more than one dog, and I'm at pause in my nursing training, so I can focus on puppy training.
Her cuteness and her unique personality have mixed some joy into our grief, but Hilde is still sorely missed. At some point when the pain is less, I'll upload the last videos I shot of her, and a slideshow memorial.

A short clip of some of the fireworks we shot off on the 4th. The entire show lasted about 1 hour and a couple of accidents did happen, but no one was injured. Unfortunately the video camera had a recording limit of 20 minutes so the grand finally and a lot of the fireworks we shot off are not in this display. We shot off the lame stuff first, but worked our way up to the big shells (morters) later in the show.

He is also secretly a cannibal, who delights in killing his dates and later grilling their body parts on the stove. He writes online a “Diary Of A Cannibal” on how he came to this, from first frying up some fat from one of the women he liposuctioned, to finding a woman hanging in the park who became his first real entrée. “It is the desire to eat the meat of the one you love” is his mantra. There’s a wild scene when he travels to Hong Kong and goes to a private club where a woman is beheaded and the patrons all feast on her. Directed by Osamu Fukatani, mercifully some of the special effects are not great, but on the whole the movie is unbelievably bizarre. Yummy!

This is my first attempt at an Arduino Sketch. An Arduino Sketch is basically a prototype of some code that can be uploaded to an Arduino Card that in turn, can run various electrical devices (Light Emitting Diodes in this case). An Arduino Card is hobbyists micro controller mounted on a board. It's basically a simplified computer that can be hard coded through the use of human readable programming languages.
